The Ontario university states that the application under the federal <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Companies&#8217; Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is intended to permit the university to continue running <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">day-to-day operations<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> during restructuring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sudbury, Ontario school is not shutting down and will continue to provide services for students. It states it will keep normal operations and keep classes running.\u00a0 In this Brandon Blog, I talk about what <em>creditor protection<\/em> in the Canadian context is and why <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">did so<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2 id='laurentian-university-what-is-creditor-protection'  id=\"boomdevs_2\"><b><i>Laurentian University<\/i><\/b><b>:\u00a0 What is <\/b><b><i>creditor protection<\/i><\/b><b>?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its simplest terms, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/bankruptcy-protection-meaning\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">creditor protection<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the protection you get when you start a proceeding with a filing under either the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) (BIA)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or the CCAA.\u00a0 Under the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an individual or company gets that protection in either a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">consumer <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">corporate bankruptcy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 This safeguard is also obtained by filing under the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">restructuring proposal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provisions of the BIA.\u00a0 A company safeguards itself when it files for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">restructuring<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCAA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once a filing is done, without getting special permission from the court, none of your creditors can start or continue legal action against the person or the company for the repayment of a debt or for any enforcement action against its assets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, therefore, received its sheltering once it made its filing under the CCAA. When using this statute, it can also be called <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCAA protection<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/?p=10325&amp;preview=true#How_the_Laurentian_University_restructuring_story_begins\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below is the section titled &#8220;<\/span>How the <i>Laurentian University restructuring story<\/i> begins&#8221;.<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I discuss its particular issues leading up to the need to file.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='laurentian-university-what-is-a-stay-period'  id=\"boomdevs_3\"><b><i>Laurentian University<\/i><\/b><b>:\u00a0 <\/b><b><i>What is a stay period?<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8220;time out&#8221; that a person or business gets from its creditors is called a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stay period <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stay of Proceedings<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u00a0 Upon the agreement of the court to the initial filing, the result is that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the court will issue an Order giving the company an initial 30 days of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">protection from creditors<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to allow for the preparation of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">restructuring proposal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> called a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plan of Arrangement<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initial stay can be extended by the court, as long as the judge is convinced that the company is acting in good faith and working expeditiously in sorting through the myriad of issues stopping it from putting together its <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plan of Arrangement<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='laurentian-university-what-does-ccaa-mean'  id=\"boomdevs_4\"><b><i>Laurentian University:\u00a0 <\/i><\/b><b><i>What does CCAA mean<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CCAA is a Canadian federal law that helps companies in financial difficulties emerge from its difficulties. The company begins its reorganization proceeding with its <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">application<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the court and files for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/sudbury\/laurentian-university-creditor-protection-1.5896522\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">creditor protection<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to avail itself of the process for a company and its creditors to come to an agreement on how to reorganize the company&#8217;s debt, while the company continues to operate normally and pay amongst other things, wages to its employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the biggest advantages of the CCAA is that it allows a business to \u201chold the fort\u201d while the creditors and the company work out an agreement that will hopefully get the company back on its feet. While operating in this fashion, company management remains in control of running the business.\u00a0 The company does not hand over its assets to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">licensed insolvency trustee (Trustee)<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 Rather, the Trustee is appointed by the court to act as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the title sounds, the role of the Monitor is that of the neutral court officer working with the company.\u00a0 The duties of the Monitor include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">overseeing and providing <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">supervision<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the company&#8217;s affairs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">assisting in the negotiations with creditors;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">helping with the drafting of the Plan of Arrangement for describing what the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">restructuring process<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report regularly to the court on the progress and details of the restructuring administration, and ultimately,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conducting the meetings of the various <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">classes of creditors<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where voting on the Plan of Arrangement takes place.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the CCAA is unique to the country of Canada, other countries have similar restructuring legislation.\u00a0 The most famous is probably <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chapter 11<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">US Bankruptcy Code<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 This is when you normally hear the term &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/ccaa-canada-2\/\"><em>bankruptcy protection<\/em><\/a>&#8220;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/g.page\/torontobankruptcy?share\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-10324\" src=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"laurentian university\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" data-wp-pid=\"10324\" data-pin-nopin=\"nopin\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-1200x675-cropped.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/irasmithinc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Laurentian-University.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id='laurentian-university-files-to-reorganize-university-finances'  id=\"boomdevs_5\"><b><i>Laurentian University<\/i><\/b><b> files to reorganize <\/b><b><i>university finances<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last Fall, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/laurentian-university-in-sudbury\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> recognized it was in financial trouble.\u00a0 On October 1, 2020, it issued a press release advising that it has <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">financial challenges brought on by the global <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19 pandemic<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and its pre-existing structural deficit.\u00a0 It also announced at that time that it hired<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/laurentian.ca\/news\/statements\/external-financial-advisors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ernst &amp; Young as financial advisors<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to assist in a further review of its detailed financial results, budgets, and our various initiatives to help identify and analyze any additional opportunities for cost savings or improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On February 1, 2021, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">facing insolvency<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took the step to begin its <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">insolvency<\/span><\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ic.gc.ca\/eic\/site\/bsf-osb.nsf\/eng\/br04428.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> proceeding under the CCAA<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in order to come up with a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">formal restructuring plan<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Since it is in the early stages of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">insolvency administration<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the actual plan has not yet been developed as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">needs time to come up with the proper plan. It will be one of many <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">future events<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I will keep my eye on for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From my review of the filing <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">documents<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I can tell you what the story is so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='how-the-laurentian-university-restructuring-story-begins'  id=\"boomdevs_6\"><b>How the <\/b><b><i>Laurentian University restructuring story<\/i><\/b><b> begins<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We are working with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth process for students,&#8221; said Peter Baxter, the university&#8217;s provost and vice-president, academic.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who would&#8217;ve thought that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">universities<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which are supposed to be institutions of higher learning, would actually run into financial problems and put their stakeholders at risk?\u00a0 But that&#8217;s exactly what happened and is the current <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">situation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/laurentian-university-insolvency\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em> insolvency<\/em> in Sudbury, Ontario. I guess the place was not run by any of the finance profs!\u00a0 It is obviously a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stressful time<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for all students, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">staff, faculty,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and creditors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Robert Hach\u00e9<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the President and Vice-Chancellor of the Laurentian University of Sudbury, swore the necessary affidavit on January 30, 2021, in support of Laurentian&#8217;s court application for an Initial Order to commence CCAA proceedings.\u00a0 In his affidavit, Dr. Hach\u00e9 stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian\u2019s financial issues were first determined as early as 2008-09 when a prior administration gave a budget to the Board that would not be balanced for the 2008-2009 academic year and showed little to no improvement for the future financial prospects of the university absent any revised processes. The budget was approved, but the Board expected the financial situation to be fixed as a top priority item.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Plan for Regaining Sustainability at Laurentian was presented to the school&#8217;s Board on December 18, 2008, and again on February 20, 2009. The Board approved the implementation of the plan, expecting to regain financial health over a three-year period.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting in 2014, Laurentian undertook a $64 million Campus Modernization Project for the construction of approximately 250,000 sq. ft. of classrooms, research, study as well as a public area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Campus Modernization Project involved Laurentian incurring a substantial amount of long-term debt (approximately $40 million) to pay for the construction of buildings and facilities to modernize the campus in order to accommodate its historical growth and fuel the projected enrolment growth. The university elected to defer repayment of the principal amounts borrowed until after construction was completed, leading to the accrual of further interest.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Board approved the 2016-17 operating budget, LU forecasted operational deficits continuing through 2021-22 leading to an accumulated operational deficit of greater than $43 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the exception of the modest growth experienced in 2020, enrolment has declined each year from 2015 to 2018 and tuition fees remain low, while labour and debt servicing costs have grown substantially.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 10% tuition reduction and tuition freeze ordered by the Province of Ontario beginning in 2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian&#8217;s academic costs are generally higher as a percentage of total costs than other Ontario universities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not re-evaluating <\/span><b>over the last decade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> its programs to make sure it is focusing on those the marketplace of students deem relevant and required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irasmithinc.com\/blog\/insolvency-trustee-toronto\/\"><em>COVID-19 pandemic<\/em><\/a> has made all these issues worse.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From reading his sworn affidavit, I would use one simple word to describe what has led to the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University insolvency<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; <\/span><b>MISMANAGEMENT!<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 Dr. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hach\u00e9<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> joined <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in July 2019.\u00a0 So he has only been involved in this mess for the last 19 months.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='what-laurentian-university-reports-its-immediate-plans-are-by-making-this-ccaa-filing'  id=\"boomdevs_7\"><b>What <\/b><b><i>Laurentian University<\/i><\/b><b> reports its immediate plans are by making this <\/b><b><i>CCAA filing<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University reported that as at April 30, 2020, it had $358.5 million in assets based on generally accepted accounting principles.\u00a0 Of that total, only $33.2 million is either liquid or near-liquid.\u00a0 As at the same date, its liabilities are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Line of credit $14.4 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short-term loan $1.4 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accounts payable and accrued liabilities $22.4 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accrued vacation pay $1.8 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deferred revenue $1.0 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current portion of long-term debt $2.7 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long-term debt $89 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employee future benefits liabilities $20.8 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deferred contributions $38.6 million<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deferred capital contributions $129.9 million<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This adds up to $322 million.\u00a0 The balance sheet balances because the remainder represents either restricted capital or special purpose endowments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> advised the court that it intends to come back requesting an Amended and Restated Initial Order. Right now, Laurentian has the benefit of the Stay of Proceedings and will not be making any payments on any outstanding amounts owing as of February 1, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among other things, the motion in respect of the Amended and Restated Initial Order will seek the following additional relief:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">extending the Stay of Proceedings to April 30, 2021;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">suspending Laurentian\u2019s requirement to make certain special payments in respect of its defined benefit pension plan, pending further Order of the Court;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">suspending Laurentian\u2019s need to reply to requests for information received under the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Ontario) during the Stay of Proceedings, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nunc pro tunc<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to February 1, 2021;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the appointment of a mediator, as an officer of the Court and a neutral third party to undertake a mediation of various issues under the supervision of this Court, on an urgent basis;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">approving Laurentian&#8217;s request for a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">debtor-in-possession credit facility<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (the \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DIP Facility<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d) borrowing authority up to the principal amount of $25 million to finance its working capital requirements and other general corporate purposes, post-filing expenses and costs during the Stay of Proceedings.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The court has now declared that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is insolvent.\u00a0 I will be following this <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCAA administration<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and will write more blogs on material points of special interest as this restructuring winds its way through the court.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='laurentian-university-summary'  id=\"boomdevs_8\"><b><i>Laurentian University<\/i><\/b><b> summary<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I hope you enjoyed the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laurentian University <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brandon Blog post.
